How It Started

In the midst of the 2008 financial crisis there was a dramatic increase in demand for social services as more people faced economic hardship. The resources existed, but it was hard to get connected, and referrals were slowed down by paperwork and processing. With the idea that technology could help build a stronger social safety net, our founder and CEO Erine Gray launched findhelp — originally under the name Aunt Bertha — on August 31, 2010.

Who We Are

Our team has worked in social care, education, and healthcare. Many of us, at other points in our lives, have needed service ourselves. We understand the need for privacy and protection when seeking help, and we know firsthand how challenging it can be to navigate the social care system. That’s why we work every day to make it easier and safer to find help.

Our work is driven by how we can make the world a better place — for organizations, customers, our users, and our team. We nurture a diverse and inclusive environment where employees can bring their full selves to the workplace, and where our personal and professional experience informs the quality of the work we do.
